Fifteen highly energized people met on June 8 for a productive planning session. You will want to be a part of this grassroots movement bringing Sustainability Principles to local public policy.

Our current focus is the planning of a Collaborative Community-Wide Meeting (late October??) of elected leadership, candidates, industry, academia, neighborhood associations, non-profits, business, regulatory agencies, media, faith organizations, individuals and others to examine the question, 'How do we introduce Sustainability Principles into local public policy?'.

We are planning a Friday evening reception followed by the conference (The Green Convene?) on Saturday. Early response indicates a readiness to see Sustainability (that level of equitably shared human activity that Earth can support indefinitely) introduced into the mainstream of local public policy. Beyond seeking answers to the conference question, we hope to begin the creation of a unified force for change composed of many specific interest groups. We will seek measures that capitalize on the synergy of many interest groups to advance the larger issue of sustainability, without diminishing the specific focuses. We need your help in planning this major event.

*Looking for a fabulous way to deepen your connection with the natural world and spend your Thursday evenings? Join us as we begin the journey of exploring a variety of eco-spiritual practices with the intention of evolving as individuals and as a group while co-creating with the larger biotic community. We'll be meeting every Thursday evening at the Earth and Spirit Center from 6:45 - 9:00, where we will combine nature meditations from a wide array of spiritual traditions with communal service in the garden and on the land.

General description:
We plan to explore ways of living more harmoniously and regeneratively on earth by deepening our connection to the natural world through intentional and active listening with others and the larger biotic community while growing food sustainably and working on land restoration.

The meetings will be at the earth and spirit center at 1924 Newburg rd. If you pull into the big parking lot by 1924 Newburg Rd, you can park at the back of the lot and walk straight across the big field to the Earth & Spirit Center and the garden. We'll be meeting outside (unless it's raining, then we'll just move indoors), so look for us under the shady trees behind the building. This historic measure will augment our current problem-solving modalities, providing practical, nonviolent solutions to the problems of domestic and international conflict. The legislation will pass from bill to law under one condition: that a wave of citizen interest rise up from the American people and make itself heard in the halls of Congress.

We plan to explore ways of living more harmoniously and regeneratively on earth by deepening our connection to the natural world through intentional and active listening with others and the larger biotic community while growing food sustainably and working on land restoration.

The meetings will be at the earth and spirit center at 1924 Newburg rd. If you pull into the big parking lot by 1924 Newburg Rd, you can park at the back of the lot and walk straight across the big field to the Earth & Spirit Center and the garden. We'll be meeting outside (unless it's raining, then we'll just move indoors), so look for us under the shady trees behind the building. Fifteen highly energized people met on June 8 for a productive planning session. You will want to be a part of this grassroots movement bringing Sustainability Principles to local public policy.

Our current focus is the planning of a Collaborative Community-Wide Meeting (late October??) of elected leadership, candidates, industry, academia, neighborhood associations, non-profits, business, regulatory agencies, media, faith organizations, individuals and others to examine the question, 'How do we introduce Sustainability Principles into local public policy?'.

We are planning a Friday evening reception followed by the conference (The Green Convene?) on Saturday. Early response indicates a readiness to see Sustainability (that level of equitably shared human activity that Earth can support indefinitely) introduced into the mainstream of local public policy. Beyond seeking answers to the conference question, we hope to begin the creation of a unified force for change composed of many specific interest groups. We will seek measures that capitalize on the synergy of many interest groups to advance the larger issue of sustainability, without diminishing the specific focuses. We need your help in planning this major event.

*Looking for a fabulous way to deepen your connection with the natural world and spend your Thursday evenings? Join us as we begin the journey of exploring a variety of eco-spiritual practices with the intention of evolving as individuals and as a group while co-creating with the larger biotic community. We'll be meeting every Thursday evening at the Earth and Spirit Center from 6:45 - 9:00, where we will combine nature meditations from a wide array of spiritual traditions with communal service in the garden and on the land.
